Disturbing to say the least: Maddy Jackson, 4, sporting the new must-have accessory – removable breasts for toddlersBarely out of nappies, four-year-old Maddy Jackson is already on the road to womanhood.
Sporting fake C cup breasts and padding on her bottom, she is the latest shock contestant on Toddlers and Tiaras, the U.S. reality show revealing the surreal world of beauty pageants.
In an attempt to mimic her curvaceous icon, country singer Dolly Parton – who is known for her ample cleavage – the toddler is shown sporting detachable bust and butt enhancements, before performing live on stage.
With the extra padding concealed under her Barbie pink Lycra catsuit, Maddy’s tiny frame is transformed into an hourglass silhouette.
Barely able to string a sentence together, many will be shocked by the images of the peroxide blonde trying to emulate the appearance of a woman in her late 20s.
When questioned on NBC’s Today show, her mother Lindsay, who entered her first pageant contest when she was nine months old, defends the enhancements used by her daughter.
She tells presenter Savannah Guthrie: ‘To some people, it’s over the top, to us it’s just what happens… It’s just normal. When she wears the fake boobs and the fake butt, it’s just like extra bonus.’
But others seems less convinced and Maddy’s stylist Michael Booth believes the attire is a step to far.
Interviewed backstage at the competition, where hundreds of young hopefuls battle it out to be crowned beauty queen, Michael said: ‘I wasn’t a big fan of the outfit with the boobs in it. She’s very young, but hopefully the judges will perceive it in good taste.’
Other young contestants also seem perturbed by her appearance, as they watch Lindsay rearrange her daughter’s fake breasts and one even probes the chicken fillets before Maddy crosses her arms defensively.

Lindsay says as she watches her child’s confused expression: ‘I don’t think Maddy knew how to explain and why she had those enhancements on.’
Maddy’s grandma, Barbara also defends the beauty pageant world, which is primarily concerned with contestant’s external appearance, explaining that the cash prizes can be put towards expensive schooling fees and dozens of toys for the children.
The show has caused outcry with many who believe that it could influence youngsters to adopt similar behaviour and campaigners have even set up a Facebook group, ‘Take “Toddlers And Tiaras” off the Air!’ in a bid to have the plug pulled on the show.

Despite criticism Lindsay is happy for her child to be glamourised and states that her daughter thoroughly enjoys it as a hobby and can stop competing at any time.
She added: ‘With anything people are going to think things are over the top but with gymnastics or dance or competitive cheer-leading you wear hair, you wear make up.’

An Outrage: French Designer Blurs Line Between Adulthood and Childhood With New ‘Loungerie’ Line for Children. (Being marketed in U.S. too!)

Oooo-la-wrong! Way Wrong!
A new French lingerie line is selling provocative bras and panties for girls ages 4 through 12.
Worse, the catalog for the “,” created by Jours Après Lunes, features children modeling the line in full makeup and Lolita-esque poses.
Jours Après Lunes, which translates into “Days After Moons,” carries bras, panties and camisoles for toddlers. Why a 4-year-old needs a bra is not explained on the site.
Created by long-time French stylist Sophie Mori, the line describes itself as “the first designer brand dedicated to ‘Loungerie’ for children and adolescents.” The product description says the designs are “taken from codes of lingerie, such as ribbons, croquet, giant knot, lace, frills, flounces.”
Morin refused to answer questions from FOX411 about the appropriateness of the designs and the photos.
But the backlash against the designs and the campaign has already been severe.
“There’s something undeniably disconcerting about the styling of the photos — at least to American eyes. It’s off-putting to see 4-year-olds made-up to look like seductive self-aware young women,” Leah Chernikoff, the executive editor of Fashionista.com, the site that broke the story, told FOX411.
Fashionista.com readers were similarly horrified by the line.
“Six-year-olds don’t need matching bra and panty sets, red lipstick, teased hair, or ropes of pearls! It should be obvious that the styling of these pictures will only appeal to Humbert Humbert wannabees,” Susan Whelan wrote.
“Disgusting! How can anyone justify this? What happened to CHILDHOOD?,” wrote Nicole Thomas.
But it’s not the first time that the French have come under fire for putting children in very adult situations.
The Jours Après line follows uproar over Vogue France’s recent photographs of 10-year-old model Thylane Loubry Blondeau in a skintight dress, posing provocatively on a tiger skin rug.
But according to Chernikoff, the French reaction has been that of surprise at American disgust over the blurred lines of childhood and adulthood.
“In France, though, this stuff doesn’t even raise so much as an eyebrow,” Chernikoff said. “In fact, the general reaction of the French media to those photos of 10-year-old Thylane Blondeau that caused such a stir was something to the extent of – ‘why are the Americans freaking out over these old photos?’”

From a 10-year-old who has felt trapped in the wrong body for years to a “trans-regret,” a man who is one of the few people in the world to have changed his gender from a man to a woman and back again, “Primetime Nightline” looks at the issues surrounding transgender.
Jackie is a 10-year-old from Ohio who was originally born as Jack. As a toddler, Jack was drawn to his sister’s dolls and clothes, and enjoyed dressing up in tutus and ballerina outfits. At 10 years old, with tears in his eyes, he told his parents “I’m a girl and I can’t do this anymore.” Within months, with his parents help, Jack becomes Jackie.
She now attends school as a girl, wearing girl’s clothing and makeup. We watch as Jackie navigates her transition and meets relatives for the first time as a girl. Soon Jackie will begin taking puberty blockers, a controversial treatment, which will prevent her from going through male puberty.

Parents Force Mass. School Back on Sexualization
August 2011: When Massachusetts parents learned of Fitchburg School Committee surveying their pre-teens about their oral sex experiences in a quest for government grants, they filed a complaint with U.S. Dept. of Education. Now, the school has agreed that no such surveys will be administered without parental consent.

John W. Whitehead, president of The Rutherford Institute and who represented a concerned mother, called the new policy a victory for parental rights.
The surveys that caused concern for Arlene Tessitore, mother of two middle school daughters, were the Youth Risk Behavior Survey and the Youth Program Survey.
While the daughters tried to be excused from taking the surveys, they were told by their instructors that they had to take it.
In response, the school agreed to eliminate the “passive consent” system, in which it is presumed that the parents have given consent if they do not complete a form that students are sent home with. Only when parents give written consent will students receive surveys to complete.

Rutherford [Institute] officials said the Fitchburg School Committee recently adopted a new policy that will allow students to be given intrusive surveys only after their parents have given their written consent. The change brings the school into compliance with the federal Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment by eliminating the school’s previous practice of assuming the parents consented if they didn’t specifically object.
At issue were several surveys given to students. They included questions such as “I have had oral sex at some point in my life.”
The letter to Ellen Campbell of the U.S. Department of Education’s Family Policy Compliance Office from Rita Dunaway, representing the Rutherford Institute, said parents “send their children to public schools to receive an education; not to become subjects of governmental data mining.”

Minorities Targeted by Planned Parenthood for Abortion: Study
Mark Crutcher and Carole Novielli conducted the research in the 24-page report and they say the location of abortion centers is the modern equivalent of the population control policies against minorities, especially African-Americans, that Planned Parenthood has supported since Margaret Sanger founded it. The researchers say they prepared the new report to respond to the criticism of the claims abortion advocates have made to the racial charges — and to point out a hypocrisy.

. . . as far back as the mid 1900s, some wellknown eugenicists were arguing that the most effective way they could advance their agenda would be to concentrate population control facilities within the targeted communities. . . .
. . . Planned Parenthood and others within the abortion and family planning lobby took this approach when choosing locations for their facilities and that this practice continues to this day.
. . . ["Family planning" defenders] have consistently argued that the most effective way to reduce the number of abortions is to prevent unplanned pregnancies by making birth control chemicals, devices and information widely available. If that is true, in light of their concession that they have focused these things on the minority community, the obvious result should be that black women have the lowest pregnancy and abortion rates in the country.
But to the contrary, in contemporary America, the rate of pregnancy among black women is almost three times as high as it is for white women and, though they make up less than 13% of the female population, black women have about 37% of the abortions. In other words, the family planning lobby’s argument that they concentrate their facilities in minority communities because that is where the need is, cannot be reconciled with their long espoused claim about the connection between contraception, pregnancy and abortion.
Virtually overnight, they went from claiming that they target minority communities with noble intentions to claiming that they don’t target them at all. Then, to support this revised strategy, they began quoting a new report by the Alan Guttmacher Institute (AGI) showing that only one in 10 Planned Parenthood clinics is located in a minority community.
The reality is, the research in AGI’s report had been manipulated to yield pre-determined results.

Few Americans Believe Abortion is Morally OK
The survey, released Friday, supports a long-term trend in feelings about the moral acceptability of abortion, as well as the dividedness of voters on “pro-choice” and “pro-life” labeling.
Among those surveyed 48 percent considered themselves pro-choice, while 43 percent called themselves pro-life.

Seventy-two percent (72%) of GOP voters and 60% of unaffiliateds think abortion is morally wrong most of the time. The plurality (46%) of Democrats disagree and feel abortion is not morally wrong in most instances.
Despite that pro-life response, 48 percent of likely voters classify themselves as “pro-choice” on abortion while 43 percent say they are pro-life. Fifty-one percent (51%) of female voters say they’re pro-choice, but just 44% of male voters say the same. Voters under the age of 40 are more likely to be pro-choice than their elders, the survey shows, which is also at odds with most polls.
Most Democrats (70%) are pro-choice, while the majority (62%) of Republicans and a plurality (47%) of voters not affiliated with either major party are pro-life.
The poll also found a majority of voters say abortion will affect how they vote in the next election . . .

Abortion Drives Women Crazy: Psychiatric Study
Professor Priscilla Coleman from Bowling Green State University in Ohio carried out the research which examines 22 studies from 1995 to 2009. These studies involved 877,000 women, of which almost 164,000 had had an abortion.
Coleman found that while the overall increased risk to mental health problems was 81%, the results ‘indicate that the level of increased risk associated with abortion varies from 34% to 230% depending on the nature of the outcome. Whether women abused drugs, alcohol or suffered depression, and so on’.
Coleman said ‘Overall, the results revealed that women who had undergone an abortion experienced an 81% increased risk of mental health problems, and nearly 10% of the incidence of mental health problems as shown to be directly attributable to abortion.’

[This study] adds to previous findings made public by the journal three years ago which first questioned the assumption of abortion campaigners that terminating a pregnancy reduces rather than increases the health risks to women.
The study said that abortion was linked with a 34 per cent greater chance of anxiety disorders, and 37 per cent higher possibility of depression, a more than double risk of alcohol abuse – 110 per cent – a three times greater risk of cannabis use – at 220 per cent – and 155 per cent greater risk of trying to commit suicide.
Professor Coleman said her research was intended “to produce an unbiased analysis of the best available evidence addressing abortion as one risk factor among many others that may increase the likelihood of mental health problems”.
She added: “There are in fact some real risks associated with abortion that should be shared with women as they are counselled prior to an abortion.”

This review, which is larger than any study to date, contradicts the recent and biased and less systematic review by the American Psychological Association, which fails to find a relationship between mental health problems and abortion. The new meta-analysis also contradicts the stance of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), which has been silent on the mental health impact of abortion in its official publications despite overwhelming evidence over the last two decades of abortion’s adverse effects.
The egregious cover-up of abortion complications is an aspect of “the abortion distortion.” Elites in charge of professional organizations actively suppress legitimate research on the harms of induced abortion because of political bias or worse. One of the most notorious examples of “the abortion distortion” was the revelation that Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan actually wrote part of ACOG’s position statement on partial birth abortion while working as deputy assistant for domestic policy for Bill Clinton.
This new review in a prestigious psychiatry journal sheds important light on the mental health of women. . . .

Teacher Requires Boys to Cross Dress for a Grade

A school superintendent in New Jersey says a “misunderstanding” led an elementary school teacher to mandate that all students — including young boys — dress as women in a now-canceled fashion show to honor Women’s History Month.
Maple Shade Township School Superintendent Michael Livengood said the show, which had been scheduled for Friday at Maude Wilkins Elementary School, has been canceled.
In a 16-page packet sent home with students, teacher Tonya Uibel alerted parents that all students in her third grade class would have to participate in the activity, since it would be graded as an “end of unit” assignment. The packet also included suggestions of how students may dress, including fashions from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s like bellbottoms, poodle skirts and cheerleader outfits. Photographs of fashion icons like Twiggy and Madonna are also included.
“If your child is a young man, he does not have to wear a dress or skirt, as there are many time periods where women wore jeans, pants and trousers. However, each child must be able to express what time period their outfit is from. Most of all, your child should have fun creating their outfit and learning about how women’s clothing has changed!”
Livengood said students will now be asked to a draw a picture of a person dressed in clothing from a specific time period as the lesson plan’s culminating project.
Calls to the school seeking comment were referred to Livengood.

Democrats to Designate Gay-only Committee Seats
The change, for now the sole issue vote scheduled for the June convention, would add bisexual and transgender people to the list of requisite “add on” seats, giving both categories the same guaranteed number as military veterans and each state Senate district under the charter. The charter and bylaws also call for gay, lesbian, elderly, youth, and ethnic minority delegates.
Some Democratic legislators criticized the proposal to rewrite party rules as divisive.
“I think this is a good issue; I’m not sure this is the year for it,” said Representative Ellen Story, an Amherst Democrat. “We need to be focusing on jobs and the economy.”
The governor [Deval Patrick] has been an advocate of sexual identity policies, helping to defeat an effort to end gay marriage in Massachusetts and backing the transgender rights bill.
