Colin Powell has officially lost it – contributes to our illegal immigration problem

September 28, 2010 Leave a comment

Well this is just unbelievable. We rarely go after a military type like former General Powell (well unless your Wesley Clark, but thats a whole seperate post) but Colin has just lost it. After years of abuse by race baiters calling the likes of him, Rice and others, uncle Tom’s and house negroes, he finally caved as you recall, endorsing Obama – yep just because he’s black, but then what happened can only be described as taking in swin in the liberal pool and swallowing to much of the water. It infected him and he’s lost it. We will thank him for one thing though, through his admissions we now know where to send the IRS, ICE, DOJ, and JAG, acronyms we’re sure he knows quite well.

Colin Powell Says Illegal Immigrants Do His Home Repairs

Monday, September 20, 2010
By Calvin Woodward, Associated Press

Washington (AP) – Former Secretary of State Colin Powell says illegal immigrants do essential work in the U.S., and he has firsthand knowledge of that — because they fix his house.

Powell, a Republican who endorsed Democrat Barack Obama, urged his party Sunday to support immigration reform because it is “what’s keeping this country’s lifeblood moving forward.”

(first off your party? If you mean the Republicans – they are no longer your party! As to the other comment – are you kidding? How about praising your fellow American citizens along with upstanding legal immigrants, not people who illegally invade our country! What are you stupid, don’t you remember your oath!)

In an interview with NBC’s “Meet the Press,” he said a path to legal status should be offered to illegal immigrants because they “are doing things we need done in this country.”

(Yeah because we don’t have millions of unemployed citizens capable and willing to do home repairs, wow!)

He added: “They’re all over my house, doing things whenever I call for repairs, and I’m sure you’ve seen them at your house. We’ve got to find a way to bring these people out of the darkness and give them some kind of status.”

(No we haven’t seen them at our house and if they ever show up they be brought out of the darkness and given status alright, deportation status!)

Powell did not say whether he’s hired illegal immigrants directly or they showed up with contractors.

Powell was President George W. Bush’s first-term secretary of state and the nation’s top military officer in the presidency of Bush’s father and in the early months of the Clinton administration. Despite his Republican standing — he was once considered a formidable prospect for the GOP presidential or vice presidential nominations but stayed out of contention — he endorsed Democrat Barack Obama in the 2008 presidential election.

(Once a prospect, no more. We would advise you against running for anything, ever. Heck if you even run for local dogcatcher, we’ll be there to campaign against you)

In lamenting the party’s rightward drift Sunday, he said Republicans must not become anti-immigration and spoke in support of legislation that would give certain children of illegal immigrants a way to become citizens if they pursue a college education or military service.

(Republicans, us included are very pro-immigration, pro-LEGAL immigration that is! As far as college education – do you mean free – which isnt free – gee we’re born and raised US citizens and our kids don’t get “free” college education. As far as military, service, it’s perplexing why anyone would advocate putting people in a position of defending a Nation that they are not even a citizen of, that’s just crazy.)

Immigration, he said, offers the U.S. a chance to maintain a youthful population in contrast with the aging of Europe and Japan.

(Whaaat? Did you really just offer us that twisted logic, see next statement – you want to talk about fringer!)

Powell also said “fringe” elements on the right are taking a low road when they label Obama a foreign-born Muslim and peddle other false theories about non-American influences on the president’s character. Obama was born in the U.S. and is Christian.

“Let’s attack him on policy, not nonsense,” he said.

(Ok Colin well let’s hear it. Let’s go with your attacks on policy, after all – you say in your next statement that most Americans support controlled federal spending and adherence to the Constitution – and Obama is the anti-thesis to both!)

And he said the tea party may not become an enduring force unless it moves beyond slogans and promotes an agenda that people “can see, touch and actually believe in.” It’s not enough, he said, to call for goals that most Americans support, such as controlled federal spending and adherence to the Constitution.

(for you to make this remark regarding the Tea Party movement shows that you are way out of touch, not paying attention, don’t care, or again swallowed way to much of that water, or all of the above)

The former secretary of state said he still sees Obama as a transformational figure, if one who has lost some of his ability to connect with people.

(that’s nice, but here’s what we see. Not a muslim, but rather an apologist, appeaser, and symphathizer, who displays the traits of someone with foreign ideals, dual allegiances, and a neo-lib view, regardless of where he was born, who is quite simply a radical marxist, the worst president is our history, who has duped the American public with alittle help from his friends and dupes like you, and who in this short time has already done enough to warrant impeachment)

Powell said he’s not giving up on the GOP, even in the face of a rightward drift, and says it might actually help Obama if Republicans win the House in November and gain responsibility for driving policy, not just opposing Democrats.

(again that’s nice but you can give up any time and probably should, because this drift to the right you speak of is simply the GOP finding their way back home, from which they once got lost. Now we’re going to make sure no one gets lost again, and quite obviously you don’t get that.
